Everyone had already written off the two races, but Formula 1 has now officially announced it. The Grands Prix of China and Vietnam will not appear on the Formula 1 calendar in 2020.

Vietnam and China to 2021

Due to the coronavirus, the Chinese Grand Prix was the first race in 2020 to be postponed. Not much later, the entire Formula 1 season would be overturned by COVID-19 and so the debut of the GP in Hanoi was postponed. However, those races will no longer be held in 2020, the F1 just announced.

In the meantime, the Formula 1 calendar hasn't been completely filled yet. After the Imola Grand Prix there is still a gap where two races in Bahrain and one in Abu Dhabi will probably take place. That spot will most likely be filled with the Turkish Grand Prix, with the return of the circuit in Istanbul.
