Formula 1 has had to delay the start of the season due to the coronavirus, but it is not the only sport that has to contend with the virus. NASCAR also postpones their calendar but hopes to be able to complete the full calendar during the summer break.

Coronavirus also affects America

This is evident from a new statement from the American motorsport class. "The health and safety of our fans and industry is paramount, which is why we take into account the coronavirus outbreak. NASCAR, therefore, decides to postpone the races until May 3 and we expect to race again in Martinsville on May 10."

The organization also announces that all 36 races will be held on the calendar, or that the organization will do everything in its power to maintain that calendar. However, just like in Formula 1, that means there will probably be no summer break for the teams and drivers, Rick Winkelman also says on his Twitter channel.
