Eddie Jordan doesn't see any challenge to Mercedes: Only if someone "hijacks" them

Eddie Jordan believes that Mercedes will once again rule the ways in F1 2020. The former team boss suggests that Max Verstappen and Aston Martin Red Bull Racing will be the closest challengers to the Silver Arrows, but says someone will need to "hijack" Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas to see the championship trophy go elsewhere.

"Red Bull and Verstappen will be the opponents of Mercedes," the Irishman told Autobild. But the 71-year-old doesn't deviate from his earlier position. He suggests that Mercedes remain the benchmark.

"They [Mercedes] will have to leave F1 or someone should hijack their cars during every race to have a chance. The team has won the title every year since the start of the hybrid era. As long as the rules remain the same, I don't see any real opponents," he added.
