Vettel blames traffic for missing out on pole!

Sebastian Vettel will line up second on the grid on Sunday for the Belgian Grand Prix after missing out on pole to his teammate Charles Leclerc by more than half a second.

Ferrari had been the best car all weekend and Leclerc had topped Q1 and Q2 ahead of his blistering lap in Q3, with Vettel unable to match it.

In Q3 we saw the peculiar sight of F1 cars trundling around on their warm up laps, and Vettel feels he lost crucial tyre temperature for his flying lap.

He told Timo Glock after the session: "At the end of the day it's good that we secured the first row. To fight pole I was in a queue it doesn’t help – no excuses - I'm looking forward to the race.

"The car should be better, it was better today, temperatures should drop overnight, I don’t know but it’s the same for everyone."
