Liveblog: FP3 Bahrain Grand Prix (CLOSED)

2019-03-30 12:00:00 by Louis Shaw

The third session of the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend should be an interesting session with teams having the final opportunity to do any testing or trial runs before qualifying later on this afternoon. Will Ferrari continue to stay ahead of Mercedes or will the Silver Arrows find a way to bounce back? Stay up to date with what is going on with our liveblog down below.

As expected, Ferrari has been much more competitive at this circuit than they were in Australia. Both Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc impressed yesterday with many tipping them to lock out the front row in qualifying later on today. It will be interesting to see how the teams use this final testing session ahead of qualifying as the track temperature is incomparable to what it will be during qualifying and the race.

In the midfield, Haas are looking strong and so is Nico Hulkenberg in his Renault. Hopefully, it will be a close battle between the teams with McLaren also in the mix. Daniel Ricciardo seems to be struggling at his new team and will hope to use this session to start to turn things around ahead of the business end of the weekend.

Racing Point is a team who are thought to be struggling for performance. Earlier this morning Sergio Perez admitted that Q3 was out of the picture but they will hope to use this practice session to try and improve the performance of their car.

Check out our updates to see what happens during the session.
