Horner: Community service was "good" for Verstappen

Christian Horner remains certain Max Verstappen's community punishment will be beneficial. Verstappen picked up punishment from the FIA for his incident with Esteban Ocon last season.

Horner, boss at Red Bull, insists it will be a valuable lesson for his young driver. The 21-year-old was forced to watch stewards work during the Formula E race in Marrakech.

"It's a great opportunity for him to better understand what they're doing," Horner told motorsport-total.com.

Even though he was punished, Horner doesn't want Verstappen to chance his style ahead of the upcoming season.

"That is precisely what distinguishes him on the job and makes him that special driver. He is characterized by total determination and is not afraid. Changing that would mean that he would be a lot less popular," Horner added.
