First look: The Hanoi track lay-out for the Vietnam Grand Prix

The track layout for the Grand Prix in Vietnam is confirmed. It includes sections inspired by Suzuka and Monaco and isn't a traditional street circuit. It looks like it includes high-speed corners and super long straights.

This morning, Formula 1 announced the arrival of a new Grand Prix. The 3.458-mile tracks run through Hanoi city and next to a stadium. Early forecasts expect speeds of 208mph along the nearly one mile straight.

The backend of the track looks similar to the Esses placed in Suzuka, while the major hairpin at the end of the straight looks to be almost as sharp as the Grand Hotel Hairpin.
