Frédéric Vasseur is team boss at Ferrari for the first time this year. With a top team, criticism always comes at some point during the season. However, the 58-year-old Frenchman had expected less pressure from outside and has been particularly surprised by the rumours circulating at Ferrari.

The Frenchman points out that Ferrari is not such a difficult team to manage at all. He had expected worse. "Many people told me that Ferrari would be difficult to manage internally and that is not entirely true. The atmosphere and cooperation within the team is good, but we have more pressure from outside."

Leclerc and Sainz

From an interview with AS reveals that Vasseur continues to be very fond of his drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc. "We have two strong drivers and we have to use that as a tool. We have two drivers who can win races," said the Ferrari team boss. He claims to treat both drivers equally.

Prior to the season, there were some minor doubts here and there that Vasseur might favour Leclerc. The two already worked together at Alfa Romeo Racing and get along extremely well. However, that is not at the expense of Sainz, in other words.
