The Australian Grand Prix will remain on the Formula 1 calendar until 2037. The organisation announced this on its social channels, extending the existing deal for another two years.

New deal for Australia

Earlier this year, the Australian Grand Prix already extended its contract until 2035. A 10-year deal for Albert Park, but six months later another new deal has already been signed. The Albert Park circuit will now feature on the F1 calendar until 2037.

Australia was first on the calendar for years, making it the opening race of the season, but since the corona pandemic, that honour has gone to Bahrain. The organisation in Australia would love to host the opening race again, but it is also third on the calendar again in 2023. So it will have to be patient for that.
