Lowe admits French GP will be "challenging" for Williams

Williams team principal Paddy Lowe perfectly remembers the Circuit Paul Ricard from the glory days of Williams, but he also realises that that glory will not be repeated with the current team.

Most teams have some remembrance of the Paul Ricard from some testing, but Lowe has fond memories of the circuit.

"It's great to have a Grand Prix in France again after all those years of absence," Lowe said.

"I know the circuit from the winter testing between '89 and '92 and particularly from the first test with traction control in the FW14B in '91.

"Damon Hill drove like a madman and was a full second quicker than the other drivers.

"With the current cars it will be a challenge, but I look forward to put on a good show for the French fans."

Williams will hope that Mercedes will be installing their upgrades in France, which should give a little 20 bhp boost for the British team. They sure could use some extra power right now.
