Formula One has confirmed that there will be a one-minute silence in memory of Queen Elizabeth. This will take place prior to the first free practice session.

Silence at Monza

It was announced on Thursday that Britain's Queen Elizabeth had died at the age of 96. Elizabeth had been suffering from health problems for some time and concerns about her condition increased further during Thursday. The F1 world also reacted with shock to the news from the United Kingdom.

Prior to the first free practice session for the Italian Grand Prix, everyone will observe a one-minute silence. This will be done ten minutes before the session starts, so at 12:50pm UK time. After that, the race weekend will resume 'normally' with FP1 and later in the afternoon at 4pm the second free practice.
