Due to the speed of the brand new circuit in Miami, Red Bull Racing is already identified by many as the big favourite, given the high top speeds the RB18 can reach. However, there is never a guarantee, Max Verstappen clarified.
Verstappen warns against expectations
"There is never any guarantee that you are ahead of behind. Imola was amazing for us with the points we scored and I hope we can do well here," he told Sky Sports.
In Imola, Red Bull Racing scored maximum points, a result that cannot be easily surpassed. "We have to show it again here, but it's a completely different layout and it's also much warmer," continued the Dutchman.
The conditions for the Miami Grand Prix are therefore completely different from those in Imola. Verstappen, therefore, expects a physically tough race and says he is curious to see how the track's asphalt holds up.
