With the outcome of the meeting of the World Motor Sport Council and the FIA, a line can be drawn directly on the Russian Grand Prix. In 2022 the Formula 1 circus should've travelled to Sochi.

No Grand Prix of Russia

There can officially be a line through the 2022 Russian Grand Prix. The FIA released a statement on Tuesday saying it will not host any international motorsport races on Russian or Belarusian soil due to the situation in Ukraine. Sochi would host the Russian Grand Prix for the last time in 2022, before the race moves to Igora Drive in 2023.

No flags, symbols or national anthems will be seen and heard at all in international motor racing in the coming period. Russian drivers, such as Nikita Mazepin, will be allowed to compete in international races, but will do so under a neutral flag.
