Two seasons ago Lewis Hamilton did regularly battle with Charles Leclerc for pole positions or victories on Sunday. However, Ferrari suffered a setback and since then the two drivers haven't met each other on track very often. Hamilton is asked about his rival's development.
"How much do you pay me to say good things?", Hamilton jokes to the Monegasque. "He is a great driver, a leader. They've gotten stronger and stronger. He's still so young... Congratulations by the way. He still has such potential and it can only get better. I hope to have more exciting battles with him in the future." The current world championship number two hopes that Formula 1 will also head to South Africa in a few years' time to host a Grand Prix there. Motorsport-Total.com cites: "A place that should really be back on the calendar is South Africa. We have a big following there and it would be a highlight because the scenery there is so beautiful."
