In light of Ziggo Sport's exodus from the Dutch Formula 1 ecosystem, former driver and expert David Coulthard is betting on a possible partnership with NENT, which will hold the Dutch broadcasting rights as of 2022. Coulthard wants to produce and present Formula 1 programs for the Dutch market.

David Coulthard wants to work with the new owners of the Dutch Formula 1 license to produce programs tailored to the Dutch audience, reports Formule1.nl. Coulthard reacts to the open call for programme-makers that the Scandinavian company made.

"I don't know the details of how and what. But I hope we can participate", Coulthard explains, quoted by Formule1.nl and others.

Broad experience

Coulthard says, both with his experience in Formula 1 and personal relationship with Max Verstappen, he might be the candidate of choice. The former Red Bull driver explains: "With our production company we have done big events, like the Paralympics. We have the manpower, the people, the ideas, and of course we know Formula 1 well. In addition, we have a good relationship with Max (Verstappen)."
