Number of positive coronavirus tests in F1 paddock down since Bahrain

Just like last year the FIA publishes the number of positive coronavirus tests for each Grand Prix week. As far as keeping out the virus is concerned, Formula 1 has done relatively well from the start and this will not change in Imola either.

Fewer tests in Imola

Of the 4523 tests that were taken in the week before last Sunday's GP only two were positive. That is ten less than in Bahrain, where twelve people, including Aston Martin team members, tested positive. In that week, however, almost twice as many tests were taken.

Despite this, the percentage of positive tests is now just 0.04 percent, compared to 0.15 percent in Bahrain. The tests are carried out on everyone active in the paddock, not just the drivers and team members of the F1 teams, but also the media and other support staff.
