Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc were teammates at Ferrari for the past two seasons. Leclerc proved to be a good match for the German driver, and with 98 points he finished far above his teammate in the final standings in 2020. Nevertheless, he learned a lot from the experienced Vettel.

The four-time world champion came to Ferrari in 2015 with high hopes. Vettel had finished his successful years at Red Bull Racing and hoped to go for the highest achievable result at the Italian racing stable as well. However, Vettel failed to repeat the performance partly due to the supremacy of Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton.

This season, Vettel is driving at Aston Martin, while Leclerc is still there at Ferrari. The talented driver still misses the presence of the German. "First of all, I miss his experience," he told on Motorsport. "In certain situations he had great analytical skills and I think I learned a lot from Seb in this respect."

Vettel pointed out details to Leclerc

Among other things, Vettel pointed out to him the details of the sport. "I realised that the importance he attached to some details ended up making a big difference on the track. It was very interesting for me to evaluate these aspects. Seb is a very good person, who has always impressed me because of his simplicity."
