While coronavirus still grips the world, the start of the new Formula 1 season awaits us. Everyone hopes, of course, that the public will be able to attend. Some circuits are therefore already preparing for the arrival of the public. One of them is Circuit de Catalunya.

This Thursday, ticket sales will begin for the Spanish Grand Prix. The race will be held on May 9. When fans purchase tickets they will receive access to the entire race weekend, reports Motorsport-Week.com

COVID-19 guarantee

Nevertheless, safety measures do apply. For example, the circuit is divided into five different zones. A maximum of three thousand people are allowed to sit in each zone. With the introduction of these zones, the organisation hopes to easily control the capacity. The walking routes of people are also optimised in this way.

Everyone who buys a ticket gets a so-called COVID-19 guarantee. This means that if the fans do not go through or are driven without an audience, the spectators get their money back. Or that their ticket will remain valid for the race in 2022.
