Severe scars, but Grosjean can put on wedding ring again

It is six weeks ago this weekend that Romain Grosjean suffered his horror crash in Bahrain. In a bizarre accident on the Bahrain circuit, the Frenchman's car was torn apart and a blaze broke out, from which he was only able to free himself after 28 seconds.

The scars from the fire will be permanent, but Grosjean is well on the way to full recovery. Yesterday he already posted that he is completely free of bandages and today he posted a photo that he is training his neck (because you never know). After the training, he showed that his wedding ring can now be put on again. Reason to raise a glass.

Thumb was the worst

The photo shows that the top of his hand and fingers in particular had severe burns, with his thumb in the worst condition. Until recently he couldn't move it freely, but well enough to hold the champagne.

After his accident Grosjean never made a secret of the fact that he wanted to return to a racing car as soon as possible. He was therefore quite annoyed that he couldn't return in Abu Dhabi. The chance that he will return in F1 is very small, but he is linked to an American adventure in the IndyCar.
