Formula 1 decided at the end of 2019 to take a sustainable path as a sport, but also as a complete organization. F1 should become carbon neutral and after one year the sport proudly presents the progress made.
Formula 1 aims to be carbon neutral by 2030 and has already decided to take several steps until then to ensure that F1 becomes increasingly sustainable. This is not easy, of course, and F1 has also been affected by the coronavirus, but it is already proud to mention some points that have improved.
Red Bull supports Formula 1
For example, a working group has been set up to develop a future engine using sustainable fuel, but F1 has also been accredited by the FIA as an environmentally conscious organization. According to Formula 1, however, this was only the beginning and 2020 was mainly a year to lay the foundations for the future.
Formula 1 is also supported by the teams in their project. For example, Red Bull announced this week that it is going to carry out a study into the achievement of the carbon target and has set up the 'No Bull' project for this purpose.
