Where Max Verstappen was able to qualify on the second row for the Grand Prix of Eifel, teammate Alexander Albon didn't succeed. The 24-year-old driver had to recognise his superior in Charles Leclerc, who surprisingly managed to take fourth place. Albon is quite satisfied.

"Charles did a good lap, although there was a bit more in it from my side," says Albon in conversation with Sky Sports. "It was okay, it wasn't too bad."

Due to bad weather, there was only one hour of practice this weekend and that means that no one really knows how they are doing in terms of race simulations. "It's going to be all over the place. Nobody has really done a long run and all the signs of long runs it's not looking very pretty so we'll see how it goes," he told British television.

In any case, Albon is looking forward to Sunday afternoon's game. "I like this two-day format. It feels a bit like Formula 2 and Formula 3," said the British Thai, who is then asked what he would be satisfied with. "I am happy with first place", he laughs. "Fourth would be good."
