FP3 Live: Will F1 drivers finally be able to practice for the Eifel Grand Prix?

2020-10-10 11:30:00 by Matt Gretton

The third free practice session will be a very important session for all F1 teams and drivers. The last Grand Prix was held here in 2013, so a lot of data is missing. In addition, the teams were unable to collect information on Friday due to both sessions being cancelled with the weather. With a good chance of rain it promises to be an eventful weekend. Free Practice 3 for the Eifel GP

Due to the cancellation of both FP1 and FP2, the third free practice is now the first chance for the drivers to take to the track in Germany. Collecting data is important at the Nürburgring. Not only because F1 has not been around for so long, but also because rain is forecast.

For the first time in the hybrid era, F1 returns to the Eifel. The track will have to be explored, both race and qualifying simulations will be needed. In short, an important and very stressful hour.
