Perez gives update after corona infection: "I'm fine!"

2020-08-04 21:14:31 by GPblog.com

On Thursday it was announced that Sergio Perez was not allowed to compete for Racing Point during the British Grand Prix. The Mexican was tested positive for the corona virus. Tuesday night Perez let us know how he is doing via his social media channels.

In an update to his followers, Perez writes. "I’m fine thank God. I haven’t had any symptoms. This is how I’ve spent my days - training, iPad, TV, phone and kitchen. Yes, they’ve been long days. Looking forward to coming back very soon.”

It's not yet clear when the 30-year-old driver will make his comeback. The regulations in the UK are a little unclear, so it remains to be seen whether we can see Perez in action again at Silverstone, or whether we have to wait until next week's Spanish Grand Prix.

Estoy bien gracias a Dios. No he tenido nada de síntomas. Así paso mis días: Entrenando, iPad, tele, teléfono y cocina. Sí, han sido días largos ... ¡¡con ganas de regresar muy pronto!! Gracias a todos por su apoyo #nevergiveup
