Ferrari receives 1.6 million euros from Verstappen after purchasing Monza SP2

Max Verstappen has used the past few months without Formula 1 to choose a new car. In the end the choice fell on a Ferrari Monza SP2 and for that the Red Bull Racing driver had to go deep into his pocket.

The estimated value of a Monza SP2 is around 1.6 million euros. Verstappen is not the first celebrity to purchase the luxury model. Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic and chef and TV star Gordon Ramsay also bought the car.

The new toy from Verstappen has a 6.5 litre V12 engine with 810 hp. According to the Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 22-year old Limburger has placed the order and is now waiting for delivery. The car would be delivered directly from Maranello in Monaco.
