Louis Deletraz is an up-and-coming talent currently competing in Formula 2 for the Charouz team. The 22 year old Swiss is also a reserve driver at Haas F1. He hopes to get a seat in Formula 1 soon.

Reserve driver at Haas

Deletraz is officially confirmed as a reserve driver at Haas and he is very happy with that. “It feels really good, actually I’m a reserve driver thanks to the superlicence, so that means I can get in the car anytime”, Deletraz tells FormulaRapida.net in an interview. “I will keep doing my development role this year, of course, that’s my main purpose.”

Dream

“Guenther Steiner and Gene Haas trust in me into this”, says Deletraz. "Which is a nice feeling and I’m very happy to be a reserve driver in F1, for me it’s a big achievement that gets me closer to the dream.”

Deletraz hopes to have the chance to get a seat in Formula 1 in 2021. For that he will have to run a good season in Formula 2 in the first place. “Basically, for sure, If we put it clear I don’t have a budget to buy a seat in F1, so it has to come from performance, says Deletraz.
