Aston Martin's Andy Palmer has insisted the current owners are in it for the long run. This comes just a day after reports circulated that Lawrence Stroll was interested in buying into the luxury car manufacturer.

Yesterday, RaceFans reported that following an investigation they found that Lawrence Stroll was interested in buying into Aston Martin after their drop in value on the London Stock Exchange. Aston Martin are currently sponsors of Red Bull.

They also suggested it could mean a rebrand for the Racing Point team, with Stroll interested in bringing in Aston Martin's green to their F1 livery.

However, Andy Palmer has denied the owners are looking for new partners and insists they're in it for the long run.

"They look to the long term,” Andy Palmer said.

“We’re certainly not actively soliciting any other participation. That’s not to say it doesn’t come.

“You know what we would have to do if there was an official approach. Beyond that, I can’t comment,” Palmer said on the reported interest from the Canadian.
