Toro Rosso driver Daniil Kvyat has been dealt a 10-second time penalty after the Mexican Grand Prix for colliding with Nico Hulkenberg on the very final corner of the race, as the Russian went for a very optimistic move that led to Hulkenberg hitting the barriers.

Hulkenberg and Kvyat were running ninth and 10th in the final lap, when Kvyat suddenly had a look down the inside coming out of the stadium section and onto the main straight.

The German wasn't expecting this and turned in as he bounced into the barrier, breaking his rear wing in the process. He limped home for P11 and Kvyat finished 10th, but a 10-second penalty will swap the two drivers back around. Still a point lost for both drivers.
