Valtteri Bottas says that he is "proud to be part of" the record making Mercedes team as the Silver Arrows won a sixth consecutive constructors' title in succession, with today's result also confirming it will be a championship double, with only Bottas able to stop Lewis Hamilton now.

Bottas won Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix in dominating fashion, taking the lead at turn one and immediately creating a gap to second placed Sebastian Vettel.

After the race, he told Sky Sports how pleased he was to be part of Mercedes, the team he will be with next year following his contract extension: "I'm very happy. I had a really nice start. The pace was super good. I could control the race. I'm really proud to be part of the team. A sixth title is really impressive."
