Robert Kubica: "I tried my best" at the Italian Grand Prix

Robert Kubica had another tough weekend with Williams at the Italian Grand Prix. The Polish racer finished in 17th, ahead of only those who were forced to retire. The car did not suit the circuit at all and Kubica will be hoping for improvements in time for Singapore.

"It wasn't easy, overall the weekend was up and down," Kubica said. "Generally, the race started pretty well, but then I struggled with the front-left tyre in the corners. We had a few battles and I tried to defend as much as I could, but I struggled to stay in the tow of the other cars. I tried my best and that's how it is."

Williams didn't have the speed on the straight line and had too much drag on their car to be fast at the circuit.

Unfortunately, Kubica trying his best just wasn't enough.
