The calendar for the 2020 season has been confirmed, with a record 22 races set to take place next year. The calendar features the debut of the Vietnamese Grand Prix and the long awaited return of the Dutch Grand Prix, although the German Grand Prix drops off the calendar.

The season will once again begin in Australia, on the 15th of March, with the Vietnamese Grand Prix slotting in at round three.

The Dutch race at Zandvoort is the first European race of the season, with the Azerbaijan Grand Prix set to take place slightly later.

The second half of the season is very much the same, with the exception of the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim, which is no longer on the calendar.

There had been doubts over the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona as well, but a deal was reached for the race to stay on the calendar.
