Following another car and overtaking "as hard as ever"

Renault driver Nico Hulkenberg says that it is more difficult than ever to follow another car and overtake, even though efforts were made to improve the 'dirty air' problem.

Drivers have struggled to follow each other for years now and F1's owners Liberty Media tried to sort this issue with a few rules changes ahead of the season, but it doesn't seem to have worked.

When asked by Autosport if it had improved, Hulkenberg said: "I feel it's as bad as it's ever been, to be honest.

"Especially if you get really close, maybe five tenths [behind]. If the guy in front of you has a wobble and makes a mistake, the sudden loss of grip you experience is sometimes drastic, and you're just forced to get off the throttle or you're going to go off.

"It's really like hitting the Chinese wall or taking the ground from below your feet."
