Horner calls for adjustments to kerbs after £250,000 damage in FP1

Red Bull boss Christian Horner has asked for changes to be made to the kerbs after the first practice session of the Austrian GP weekend. Toto Wolff also mentioned the changes after his two drivers broke two wings themselves.

Horner claimed the damage to Red Bull cars came with a price tag of £250,000. "It's been quite a challenge," the Brit told Sky Sports.

"We have already gone through three front wings, which comes to around £250,000 in damage. However, we are not the only team, so there will undoubtedly be a debate about the angle of those yellow triangles on the kerbs," he continued.

The session was brought to an early close after Nico Hulkenberg ripped his front wing off on the yellow kerbs.
