Former Williams technical director Paddy Lowe will NOT return to the team after taking a three-month leave of absence three months ago.
Williams confirmed on Tuesday that Lowe will be stepping down from the board of directors with "immediate effect" and "will be leaving Williams". Lowe has spoken and confirmed the decision.
"After a period of careful reflection I have reached the decision that I will not return to work at Williams," Lowe said. "I wish all my previous colleagues the very best to meet the challenges ahead, which I am sure they will do. I would especially to thank the Williams fans who are so supportive."
Williams deputy team principal Claire Williams has expressed her support to her former colleague, saying the team "understand and respect the decision Paddy has reached and wish him well for the future."
