It is easy to forget that Lando Norris is only in his first season of Formula 1. The young Brit has impressed many and looks so comfortable in a Formula 1 car and will start today's French Grand Prix in 5th. Norris has started to look to the future and wants to sign a contract with McLaren, cementing his seat in the sport for the years to come.

“It would be nice if I could get it done and know I would be here for so many years,” said Norris as quoted by grandpx.news“I am happy here at McLaren. I know everyone and the plan they have for the next few years, it is all looking a lot more positive and changes have been made for the better.

“I am happy. I am not saying I wouldn’t enjoy it as much in other teams, but it is nice and relaxed and I have a good teammate,” Norris added.

It has been reported that Norris is currently earning £500,000 per season and a new contract is thought to be worth a multiple of million pounds. The Brit will want to confirm his future soon as the rumours of Fernando Alonso returning to the sport could mean that a seat could be taken in the 2020 season.
