Few F1 updates in Mexico: no new floor for RB19 Verstappen after all

The FIA has announced which updates the Formula 1 teams have taken with them towards the Mexico Grand Prix. However, the previously reported rumours turned out to be wrong: Red Bull Racing will not be introducing a new floor for the RB19 this weekend after all.

For the teams, it is searching for the right moment to put updates on the F1 cars. The past two GPs (Qatar and the United States) were sprint weekends and so there was only one free practice to test before the parc fermé came into effect. Aston Martin did try in Austin but without much success. Mercedes was somewhat more successful there with a new floor.

For the race weekend in Mexico City, few teams chose to bring new parts. The few updates that can be spotted focus on cooling the cars in the thin air of the high altitude Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

Only minor update for Verstappen in Mexico
