FIA take action to improve security for Brazilian Grand Prix

Last year's Brazilian Grand Prix had some major off-track stories. The biggest included an attack on some of the Mercedes team as they made their way to the track. The FIA insists the security must be much tighter this season and a number of measures have been put in place following meetings.

Talks in Paris looked ahead to the final month of the season. On agenda was the Brazilian Grand Prix.

The local authorities of Brazil, the FIA and F1 management all agreed that the security needed to change. Next month, team members will be protected on their way to the Brazilian track. At the start of November, the parties will reconvene to discuss further changes. This is only taking place a few days before the start of the Grand Prix weekend.
