The FIA have confirmed that the appeal hearing over Romain Grosjean's disqualification in Monza will take place on the 1st November. By this time, the season will have just two races left. If a decision is reversed, the battle for fourth could be shaken when the F1 circus arrives in Brazil.

Grosjean finished the Italian race in 6th place scoring eight championship points. But he was disqualified after a complaint was lodged with the FIA by Renault. The FIA investigated and Grosjean was found "not to be in compliance" with technical regulations. The issue was related to the leading edge of the floor on the car.

The disqualification meant that everyone finishing below the Frenchman moved up a place. This includes Sergey Sirotkin who scored his first point in F1.

Haas see a 50/50 chance of winning the appeal. According to Auto Motor und Sport, Haas are claiming the rules in that tea tray area allow for different interpretations.
