Constructors' standings after Saudi Arabia GP | Mercedes up to P2

Red Bull Racing recorded a double victory for the second time in a row, extending his lead in the constructors' classification. However, due to Fernando Alonso's penalty, it was not Aston Martin but Mercedes that crept towards second place.

Alonso was given a time penalty by the FIA for not being properly in place at the start. Only at the end of the race, following comments from Mercedes, was it announced that Aston Martin would not have served the penalty correctly. As a result, George Russell was promoted to the podium.

Combined with Lance Stroll's retirement, this means that the German racing team has passed Aston Martin in the constructors' standings. Mercedes does, however, have to settle for less than half of Red Bull Racing's points total for the time being. Ferrari remains behind in fourth place with just 26 points.
