Brundle calls it "travesty" if Sainz doesn't get good car in 2019

Former F1 driver and current Sky Sports pundit Martin Brundle has spoken out on Carlos Sainz Junior's current situation and has called it a "travesty" if the Spaniard doesn't end up with a competitive car next year.

Sainz won't be part of Renault's programme next year as the French team surprised friend and foe by signing Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo for the coming seasons. As Nico Hülkenberg will be manning the second seat, Sainz will return to Red Bull, but it remains to be seen whether the Spaniard will actually get a seat there for next season. Red Bull could opt to partner golden boy Max Verstappen with someone else and push Sainz aside, leaving him with few options.

Currently, it looks like Toro Rosso's Pierre Gasly has the best odds of landing the seat at Red Bull in 2019. So, where can Sainz go? Can he potentially replace Stoffel Vandoorne at McLaren? Martin Brundle has his say...
