Wolff claims Hamilton has five "very good" years left in F1

Toto Wolff, team principal at Mercedes today claims his number one driver Lewis Hamilton has another five years at the top of his game. The 33-year-old qualified on pole for the British Grand Prix tomorrow.

The four-time World Champion is expected to sign with the Mercedes team for another two seasons. No driver has yet confirmed where they are seated post-2021 because of the regulation shake-up.

Wolff expects his British driver to be able to go way beyond 2020 as he chases down more and more records in the sport.

"In my opinion, he is 33 years old now, and I think he has another five very good years in him," Wolff told Austrian reporters in the Silverstone paddock.

"I am open-minded. If in two years we still feel the same about each other, have trust, I think it will be clear that we continue."

Both Hamilton and Bottas are out of contract at the end of this season, and whilst Mercedes have claimed the two will continue at the Silver Arrows, a delay keeps on dragging.

Hamilton pushed as hard as he could during qualifying today setting the British fans alight. If he wins tomorrow, it'll be his sixth victory at a British Grand Prix. The most out of any other Brit.
