The Red Bull Ring is a circuit that suits Max Verstappen well. This was made clear in the sprint race for the Austrian Grand Prix when he took victory in an impressive fashion.
Dominant Verstappen at the Red Bull Ring
Verstappen got away well at the start and managed to keep both Ferrari's behind him. It was all to the Dutchman's advantage as Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz battled for position. George Russell, meanwhile, had a quiet race, with an empty patch of tarmac in front and behind him on his way to P4.
The one who also managed to impress today was Sergio Perez, who worked his way up from P13 to P5. The final points of the sprint race went to Esteban Ocon, Kevin Magnussen and Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time world champion had some trouble getting past Mick Schumacher.
