The Grand Prix in Miami can now officially go ahead. Residents had another protest underway against the event, but it was dismissed by the judge.

From the moment they wanted to organize a race in Miami, there has been discontent in the city. Around the Hard Rock Stadium, the street circuit is rigged and not all residents are happy with that. In a last attempt to remove the event from the planning, they came up with a protest because of noise damage.

Despite newly found evidence, Judge Alan Fine did not go along with the residents' verdict. He stated, according to Motorsport.com that the noise damage was preventable by the residents and that the extent of the damage was also speculative. In fact, the residents did not know how to present data based on real figures.

Although the judge did not rule out the possibility of a larger investigation after the Grand Prix to measure the noise damage, the 2022 edition will take place in any case. Formula One heads to Miami on the weekend of May 8, but first, it will have to run the race weekend in Imola.
