Thanks to his new contract with Red Bull Racing Max Verstappen earns an astronomical amount of money on an annual basis and father Jos doesn't deny this in an interview. The 48-year old Dutchman states that Max is highly valued by Red Bull and that Daniel Ricciardo in any case earns less at Renault.

“I tell you Max is very, very well paid – top two, top three,” , let Jos Verstappen talk to GP Racing. There are very few drivers in Formula 1 who reap as much rewards per year as the Red Bull Racing driver. "Max is very highly rated by Helmut. Max is for sure a top-paid driver."

Verstappen beats Ricciardo

Daniel Ricciardo left Red Bull after the 2018 season and joined Renault. Practically everyone agrees that the driver from Perth did so in order to earn a top salary, although he himself still denies this to this day. However, Jos Verstappen is sure that by now Max is earning more than his former team mate. "The Ricciardo deal is less than us..."

Lewis Hamilton is said to still be the best paid driver in the king's class of motorsport. "I don't know how much Lewis gets", says the former Formula 1 driver, who is then faced with an amount of 40 million pounds per season. "Okay, I can only tell you that we've done well", Jos closes somewhat mysteriously.
