After two weeks it is time for the Turkish Grand Prix. Formula 1 takes place at Intercity Istanbul Park this weekend. During the first free practice session, the drivers have the opportunity to explore the track and get as much data as possible. You can follow this first free practice with the liveblog from GPblog.

Championship duel

The difference in the Formula 1 championship between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton is only two points. With seven races left, it's basically a sprint championship now. In 2020 the circuit seemed to suit Verstappen very well. He was fastest in all free practices, Q1 and Q2. In Q3 he just missed the fastest time. Lewis Hamilton didn't come anywhere near Verstappen's times in the practice sessions, but he did manage to win the race. We can therefore assume that the battle will be close this weekend.
