The summer break gives teams and drivers time to relax after a hectic first half of the season, but the top of Formula 1 can't sit still. The calendar is still an uncertain point, according to Zak Brown.

23 races wanted Formula 1 this year, to set a record. Never before were there so many races in a Formula 1 season, but it comes at a price. F1 wants to achieve this goal per se, and in an era which is still ruled by the coronavirus, it is not easy to plan.

Uncertainty about the calendar

At the moment Mexico, Turkey and Brazil are on the red list of the upcoming Grands Prix in Britain. With seven out of ten teams in Britain that could become a problem. In Mexico and Brazil, there are still many problems with the virus and also the situation in Japan is uncertain despite the fact that the Olympic Games will take place.

''I hear a lot of different scenarios coming up. I think the reality is that nobody really knows for sure. It's a bit of a chess game. You have to look at what is happening now and who is going to be on the red list. Then a domino effect quickly arises,'' the McLaren top executive said to The Guardian.
