Mick Schumacher will follow in his father's footsteps in a few months when he makes the step up to F1. Of course, he is often compared to his father, but he doesn't mind.

"It's okay. I don't mind at all if I get the questions and the comparisons," said Mick to Bild . "Of course you have to go your own way. But my father is the best there ever was in sport, so why would I want to give up on him?"

Schumacher is thankful for his mother

Schumacher also believes he is completely ready for his Formula 1 adventure. Something his mother had no doubt about. "My mother is my number one contact, my best advisor and always the first to call. She was very happy [when she heard the F1 / Haas news], but she also said she always knew I could do that."

That debut with Haas is under the care of Guenther Steiner, the Italian has a certain reputation. Is he a little afraid of his new team boss? "Not at all. I think Geunther is a great guy, he is super nice and helpful and in the end a very good team boss. So I look forward to working with him."
