The coronavirus has now hanged into the coronacrisis, which is not only harmful to health. All industries that are now idle are in heavy weather and so is motorsport. Alejandro Agag, the big boss of Formula E, thinks that many racing classes will not survive this crisis.

In conversation with motorsport.com he makes a prediction of the motorsport landscape after the crisis. According to him, many championships that were already struggling will cease to exist, while other championships will be merged. Of the 35 championships, only six or seven may remain.

That shouldn't be a problem, according to Agag, if these classes meet the fans' needs. However, it is necessary that the remaining championships are in perfect health. To achieve this, he joins Jean Todt, who proposed a 'new deal' in which the structure of the sport will be fairer. According to agag, Formula 1 should take a leading role in this.

The Formula E boss seems to be the least worried about his own championship. Because all events were cancelled at an early stage, everyone in the FE community knows where he stands according to him. What's more, his racing class is less dependent on the proceeds from ticket sales, something that will bother other classes.
