Tatiana Calderon will become the first woman to ever race in Super Formula in Japan in 2020 after she signed for the Drago Corse team for the upcoming season. Calderon raced in Formula 2 with Arden last season, becoming the first woman to race in that series as well.

Calderon failed to score a point during the season, just missing out with P11 in the feature race in France. The Colombian has also tested F1 machinery for Alfa Romeo Racing, but at 26 years of age, F1 looks like it might be a step too far for her.

She will be joined in the Far East by Juri Vips, the exciting Estonian Red Bull Academy driver, who will race for Team Mugen.

Vips finished fourth in F3 in 2019, taking four wins as he was the best placed driver outside the Prema team. He has already raced once in Super Formula, at the season finale last season, but finished P18 at Suzuka Circuit.
