No Alfa Romeo tests for Mick Schumacher in 2020!

Alfa Romeo boss Frederic Vasseur says that Mick Schumacher will not be given any tests for the F1 team in 2020 as he is set to have full focus on his F2 season. Schumacher finished 12th in his first year of F2, taking one win, and will be looking to build on that next year to impress those in F1.

Schumacher will have to be on his game in 2020 as he is joined at Prema by the highly rated F3 champion Robert Shwartzmann, so Alfa Romeo have decided to leave him to it in F2.

Vasseur told Swiss publication Blick: “There will be no additional tests next year.

“First of all, Mick has to win Formula 2 or perform well but that is incredibly difficult under his conditions and the pressure.

“Along with Ferrari, we are following his path and his progress.”
