Kubica: Feeling in the car has completely disappeared

Robert Kubica says his feeling behind the wheel of the Williams FW42 has "completely disappeared" from practice.

The Pole recorded a time that left him P20 on the grid before grid penalties were applied but rather worryingly for the team, he admitted that the feedback from the car had become confusing throughout the session.

Speaking to media after qualifying, Kubica said he had initially started well but as the afternoon went on, lost his way with the car in the all important Q1 session.

"It doesn't really change a lot," he said after qualifying. "It's strange. I started the weekend with a positive feeling in P1, and then this feeling completely disappeared session by session.

"I just have no feeling in the car, struggled to commit to the corners. Still struggling with oversteer, especially the last run where the track was getting better.

"The run before I lost quite a lot of lap time in the last sector due to one Ferrari which was opening the lap.

"The last set of tyres was very strange. I had massive oversteer and I wasn't expecting it."
